A FRIEND

Shock of my life received

I saw tears in her eyes

She truly cared

She really did care

Punishing herself with a situation that concerns her not

Now I’m stuck here with my pen wondering what my life is truly worth

The one thing I never wanted to happen was caused by me

My depression causing me to falter

She seems to peer into the very essence of my being

My failures making me lose grasp of the things I hold dear to my heart

Never truly understood what the word friend truly meant

Tonight giving me a magnificent insight to the word

One ready to confront any situation on your account

The warmth and joy I felt at that very instance

It could never be replaced by anything else

The feeling of true love from a friend 

As the tears raced up to her eye and as she desperately fought to hold them back

Trying so hard to hide the emotions within

What a sight

Love from a friend second only to Gods love

A true friend
They truly are hard to come by 

Irreplaceable
Totally irreplaceable she is
A friend worth fighting for
Still dazzled and still amazed
I truly do have a friend
