A sad story it is that most of us live our lives every day without a single question of what’s going to come next
We drift around a
basic timetable
From birth we
were told read my child so u can excel in school
After the usual
hustle and bustle of schooling we come to a crossroad
A crossroad where
we’re left to make use of what we’ve learnt all through our school cycle
Or to drift away
in the world
Even that
completes your table
Yet again that
lies so far away from what life is
Life is too
beautiful to be confined to a single criterion of living
I live with a
conviction of adventure
That if be not
love that holds a man down
Then he should be
free to move about and conquer
Many would say
that "academics is the key to everything"
That "without a
solid degree you’re irrelevant to the nation and to yourself"
For heaven’s sake
what age do these people live in
I have always
believed that life does not revolve around the confines of a school nor a
degree
Life is meant to
be lived to the fullest
School or no school,
a degree never defines who you are
The skill you
have acquired over the years guarantees your relevance in the world
You hear of big
names with over 8 degrees
So many having
nothing to offer to the world
I believe the
relevance of a man lies not in paper qualifications
But rather in the evidence of his works
